CHURRASCO… barbecue | ||
| The tradition of Portuguese barbecue dates back hundreds of years. Our ancestors began using wood from old cork trees to create the fragrant charcoal that contributes to our unique flavor. Our real wood charcoal fire pit continues that tradition. During the 15th century, when Portugal began to colonize Africa, explorers discovered the African Bird's Eye chili and quickly developed an appreciation for its flavor. Since then, Piri Piri has been widely used in Portuguese cuisine and our barcue is no exception -- we import our own chilis from Mozambique. Our barbecue is hand-brushed with our house-made Piri Piri sauce as it grills in the fire pit. | ||
